Synonymous Middle Armenian խաւ (xaw), Georgian ხაო (xao), Ossetian хау (xaw) / хауӕ (xawæ) and Udi ха (ꭓa, “wool”) then are earlier Turkic borrowings. But if the 5th century Old Armenian խաւ (xaw, “layer”) is the same word, a Turkic origin is impossible.",

Synonymous Middle Armenian խաւ (xaw), Georgian ხაო (xao), Ossetian хау (xaw) / хауӕ (xawæ) and Udi ха (ꭓa, “wool”) then are earlier Turkic borrowings. But if the 5th century Old Armenian խաւ (xaw, “layer”) is the same word, a Turkic origin is impossible.",
